Z.M. Heaters have added a new range of diesel space heaters ahead of the 2014-2015 winter season.
The move follows a successful diversification into the sale and support of diesel heaters last winter by the UK-based waste oil heater suppliers. There will be three models in the new range, mirroring the 20 kW, 37 kW and 63 kW outputs of the Zobo range that sold so fast last season.
The new heaters appear cosmetically similar to Zobo, indeed around 85% of the parts are interchangeable, but they have been sourced from a large world-renowned factory that makes private-label products for many of the biggest heating brands, selling primarily to North America.
“We’re 100% committed to growing our diesel space heater business,” said James Onions, Director of Z.M. Heaters. “We’ve got a much improved product range and it’s a coup for a small but growing UK independent like us to have filled an order with a great supplier; we’re now on the look out for distributors where there’s a good fit but we’ll be selective.
“We fared well last winter was on support of our heaters and received lots of compliments for being easy to deal with and understanding what we sell; if you add the wrong re-sellers you can end up diluting customer service and inflating the price – clearly this isn’t the aim!”
The improvements to the heaters include heavier-duty heating chambers, this is particularly valuable for the largest heater due to the heat it generates. The heater bodies, tanks and brackets are all also stronger, the paint is much tougher and the tanks are larger too. Internally, the control board and wiring are all significantly improved. The air end, a rotary vane compressor, that’s the heart of this type of heater has also been tested by Z.M. Heaters and shown to deliver more air output, with smoother pressures and absolutely no pulsing.
James added: “Prices are low for launch because we want to get the product moving and get noticed in the market place. People looking to grab a deal shouldn’t be afraid to get in early.”
