ZMH Ltd has reached an agreement with GSF Car Parts that will see the Birmingham-based national motor factor take over the sales, marketing and support of the range of heaters available from ZMH.
In recent years ZMH Ltd has developed it’s ‘ZM Heaters’ brand and successfully sells diesel space heaters, manual ignition ‘multi-fuel’ and automatic ‘multi-fuel’ oil heaters to a wide UK customer base.
Commenting on the move, James Onions, Director of ZMH Ltd said: “It’s been quite an easy move from an administration point of view.
“From the start of August we’ve simply redirected the phone lines and web orders so many customers will not even notice the change, what the move does give us is tremendous opportunities to further scale-up our growing heater sales.”
GSF Car Parts were ZMH’s largest single customer already, accounting for over a third of sales. ZMH Ltd will continue to source and supply it’s current ranges – sourced from 4 different factories under exclusive distribution agreements – whilst the businesses are expected to cooperate more closely on future developments.
A further aim is also to introduce the range to The Parts Alliance members, the trading group which GSF Car Parts joined in September 2015.
“We believe we can take this to the next level,” said John Wright, Head of Garage Equipment and Customer Development. “The reality is we can bring more resources and professionalism to the sales and marketing and can potentially open some doors to new business that James might have found more difficult.”
The message from both GSF Car Parts and ZMH Ltd is that it’s now ‘business as usual’ with product on the way for September and October delivery ahead of the 2016-2017 winter season.
